And she even revealed a surprise hours after the album was released.

And she even revealed a surprise hours after the album was released.

On Friday, April 19, American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift officially came back with new music after dropping her eleventh studio album titled ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’

At exactly 12 noon (Manila time), the album’s first sixteen tracks were uploaded onto streaming platforms, instantly gathering Swifties from all over the country and the world.

As the hardworker that she is, Taylor stunned everyone that ‘TTPD’ is a double album, with fifteen more tracks included in ‘The Anthology’ version.

“It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours,” she added.

Aside from its namesake song, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ also carries the single ‘Fortnight,’ and tracks like ‘So Long, London,’ ‘Down Bad,’ ‘Fresh Out The Slammer,’ ‘Florida!!!,’ ‘The Black Dog,’ ‘The Albatross,’ ‘The Bolter,’ ‘The Manuscript.’

She originally announced its release last February amid her ongoing ‘The Eras’ world tour, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Her last all-new original album was in 2022 when she released ‘Midnights.’

In 2023, she dropped the re-recorded or the ‘Taylor’s Version’ of her ‘Speak Now’ and ‘1989’ albums.
