NBI, Senator Hontiveros confirm Mayor Alice Guo’s fingerprints match with Guo Hua Ping

In another development to the story involving the embattled town mayor.

In another development to the story involving the embattled town mayor.

On Thursday, June 27, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed that their team had finished cross-examining the fingerprints of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo and the Chinese national Guo Hua Ping.

The result of the said examination found that the Mayor’s fingerprints are identical to that of the foreign national.

According to Senator Risa Hontiveros in her statement, the NBI findings indicate that “they are fingerprints of one and the same person.”

“This confirms what I have suspected all along. Pekeng Pilipino si “Mayor Alice” — or should I say, Guo Hua Ping. She is a Chinese national masquerading as Filipino citizen to facilitate crimes being committed by POGO,” Hontiveros added.

The Senator also described this incident to be a “huge insult” to the citizens of Bamban, Tarlac, the government institutions, and to all other Filipinos.

Hontiveros also noted the identical fingerprints of the embattled politician and the foreigner is a sufficient evidence to oust Mayor Guo.

“I call on the Office of the Solicitor General to expedite its filing of a quo warranto case against her. Dapat mapanagot siya sa lahat ng krimen na ginawa niya at ng kanyang POGO hub.”

She also issued a warning to “Guo Hua Ping” instead of “Mayor Alice Guo,” saying that “this revelation is not the end.”

“Guo Hua Ping, soon, we will know the full extent of your deception. Magpapatuloy ang aming imbestigasyon sa Senado. We will dig deeper and locate the systemic roots of our POGO problem,” Hontiveros closed her statement.

The NBI findings is the latest development in the investigation with regards to the real identity of Mayor Guo, which in turn, stemmed from the Senate probe on the illegal operations inside the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) facility in Bamban that the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Council (PAOCC) raided in March 2024.

In the past, Mayor Guo has both denied allegations of her being a foreigner and a spy for the People’s Republic of China.

She insisted that based on a birth certificate belatedly filed in 2005, she was born in the Philippines on July 12, 1986 to a Chinese father named Angelito Guo or Jian Zhong Guo and a Filipina mother Amelia Leal Guo, whom she said she did not personally meet ever since she was born.

However, last week, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian showed to the media some documents that he obtained, whereby a certain Chinese national Guo Hua Ping arrived in the Philippines in 2003 through a special investor visa.

Hua Ping was born on August 31, 1990 to a Chinese mother and father and had a similar appearance to that of the Bamban mayor.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said that they have already sent a request to the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) to cancel the birth certificate held by the controversial local politican.

During the Senate hearing on Wednesday, June 26, Senator Hontiveros also bared a document from the NBI showing another Alice Leal Guo born on the same day and that resided in the same province as the Bamban mayor.

However, Mayor Guo did not attend the said hearing, but sent a letter explaining her absence.

As for the latest revelation of Senator Hontiveros, Mayor Guo’s camp has not yet shared their statement as of press time.
