Schedule Suggestions: ALLTV

Closing this special fourth anniversary series of Schedule Suggestions will be the first-ever feature focusing on this station.

Closing this special fourth anniversary series of Schedule Suggestions will be the first-ever feature focusing on this station.

For the first time on Schedule Suggestions, fledgling TV network ALLTV, owned by Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) of billionaire and former politician Manny Villar, will be the center of attention.

Since its launch in September 2022, ALLTV had struggled to break through in the competitive local free-to-air television landscape currently dominated by GMA Network and TV5.

After trying its luck in producing original shows in its early days, ALLTV had mostly abandoned that strategy and became a channel for movies, foreign dramas, and re-runs of series produced by former channel 2 occupant, ABS-CBN, since March 2023.

More than a year after that, ALLTV had steadily grown its terrestrial network nationwide and is now operating former ABS-CBN frequencies in places like Naga, Bacolod, and Davao.

To solve its programming problems, the AMBS/ALLTV management tapped ABS-CBN to enter into an agreement, which saw Jeepney TV programs and ‘TV Patrol’ air on the channel since last April 15.

Later on, more Kapamilya shows were added, including ‘Magandang Buhay’ and ‘It’s Showtime.’

In this edition of Schedule Suggestions, we discuss ALLTV’s programming grid and the near-term potential prospects that it has.

  • Weekdays
  • 8:00 am – Komiks Presents Pedro Penduko
  • 9:30 am – Magandang Buhay (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 10:30 am – Oh My G!
  • 11:15 am – May Bukas Pa
  • 12:00 nn – It’s Showtime (also on KapCha/A2Z/GMA/GTV)
  • 2:30 pm – Kadenang Ginto
  • 3:05 pm – Tubig At Langis
  • 3:45 pm – Budoy
  • 5:00 pm – TV Patrol Express (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 5:15 pm – Pasion de Amor
  • 5:45 pm – Goin’ Bulilit (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)

  • 8:00 pm – Pangako Sa’yo
  • 8:45 pm – Forevermore
  • 9:30 pm – On The Wings Of Love
  • 10:15 pm – If You Wish Upon Me

ALLTV’s weekday broadcasts typically begin late at around 8:00 am with the first hook-up of Jeepney TV until noon.

Similar to earlier suggestions on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z in this special anniversary series, ‘Magandang Buhay’ should be adjusted to 9:30 am on all platforms to allow new morning news programs on Kapamilya Channel and an expanded ‘Yey!’ block on A2Z.

After which, a shorter block consisting of old children-friendly inspirational dramas ‘Oh My G!’ and ‘May Bukas Pa’ should air from 10:30 am to 12:00 nn, followed immediately by ‘It’s Showtime.’

Subsequent to that, the afternoon ‘Jeepney TV sa ALLTV’ will commence and run until 5:00 pm.

‘TV Patrol Express,’ which will make its free-to-air debut on July 1, should instead take the earlier 5:00 pm slot — in line with the previous Schedule Suggestions pieces on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z.

After another drama rerun, the return of ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ will be aired on ALLTV and other ABS-CBN platforms, including A2Z.

The rest of ALLTV’s ‘All-time Saya’ primetime block should then remain intact.

  • Saturdays
  • 8:00 am – Komiks Presents
  • 10:00 am – Kampanerang Kuba
  • 11:30 am – It’s Showtime
  • 2:30 pm – Maalaala Mo Kaya
  • 4:00 pm – My Puhunan: Kaya Mo! (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 4:30 pm – Goin’ Bulilit (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 5:30 pm – TV Patrol Weekend (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 6:15 pm – Viral Scandal Marathon
  • 10:00 pm – Marites University
  • 10:30 pm – If You Wish Upon Me

Every Saturday, the Jeepney TV sa ALLTV block will continue to feature classic ABS-CBN shows from 8:00 to 11:30 am, 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, and 6:15 pm to 10:00 pm.

Minor adjustments in the current real-world set-up should be made to make programming changes, such as giving extra time to ‘It’s Showtime’ every Saturday to allow it to compete head-on with ‘Eat Bulaga’ from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

While it would result to the truncation of the Jeepney TV block, adding a simulcast of ‘My Puhunan’ to ALLTV will expand the current affairs show’s free-to-air reach and boost the overall Saturday afternoon programming of ABS-CBN on ALLTV, as it could be aired right before ‘Goin’ Bulilit.’

As for the rest of ALLTV’s Saturday grid, they will continue to be seen on their current time slots.

  • Sundays
  • 8:00 am – Komiks Presents
  • 10:00 am – Sana Maulit Muli
  • 1:00 pm – ALLFLIX Sunday Hits
  • 2:30 pm – Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan?
  • 3:15 pm – KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan
  • 4:00 pm – BINI Road Trip Adventures (TV run) (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 4:30 pm – Goin’ Bulilit (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 5:30 pm – TV Patrol Weekend (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 6:15 pm – Tao Po (KapCha/A2Z simulcast)
  • 7:15 pm – Love In 40 Days Marathon
  • 10:30 pm – If You Wish Upon Me

For ALLTV’s Sunday block, only minimal tweaks to its existing line-up will be suggested.

Every Sunday afternoon, drama anthology ‘Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan’ should air back-to-back with ‘KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan’ to complement their current evening time slots on Kapamilya Online Live.

Meanwhile, like on Saturdays, ALLTV should simulcast Kapamilya Channel and A2Z programming, such as the proposed television run of BINI’s reality show, ‘Goin’ Bulilit,’ ‘TV Patrol Weekend,’ and welcome current affairs show ‘Tao Po’ to channel 2.

As a result, the marathon run of ‘Love In 40 Days’ under Jeepney TV should be transferred to 7:15 pm and bump the Korean drama slot on ALLTV to a later time of 10:30 pm.

With the recent major programming changes on ALLTV, one that is centered around the shows produced by former channel 2 operator ABS-CBN, it should give the AMBS management hope and confidence that the station will finally find the elusive audience that it has longed for since its 2022 launch.

While that could take time, considering the flaws in both the signal reach and overall imaging of the channel amongst the public, the channel seems to be taking a step into the right direction with this partnership that they have with the Kapamilya network.

Whether it would be a short-term, medium-term, or even long-term tie-up between both parties, one could only wish that ALLTV finds its core market in the process.
