On Sunday, June 23, Filipino male pop group Alamat shared their latest achievement with Magiliws through their social media accounts.
The six-piece group has finally hit the 1 million monthly listeners mark on the music streaming platform Spotify.
“From counting by the thousands back in 2021 when Alamat debuted, we are beyond ecstatic and grateful to surpass 1M monthly listeners on Spotify, a milestone we found highly improbable to attain when we were starting our journey.”
This new peak comes just days after the group hit their previous highest monthly listenership of 900,000 on the same streaming platform.
Alamat’s feat comes as their 2023 song ‘Maharani’ continues to gain traction on Spotify, reaching 12 million plays on the site as of Monday, June 24.
The P-pop group, which originally debuted in 2020, is currently composed of six members, namely Tomas, R-ji, Taneo, Alas, Mo, and Jao.
Alamat is known for their singles like ‘kbye,’ ‘kasmala,’ ‘Aswang,’ ‘Maharani,’ ‘Gayuma,’ ‘Day and Night,’ and ‘Dagundong,’ among others.
Last March, they dropped the music video for the single ‘Dayang,’ which is part of their extended play ‘Isapuso.’
Recently, on June 14, they also dropped the collaboration single titled ‘Gupit’ with Filipino band The Juans.
