Romnick Sarmenta and Charlie Dizon are some of the big winners of the evening.
On Saturday, June 8, the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino gave out the trophies for the 47th Gawad Urian, which was held at the De La Salle University in Manila.
‘Third World Romance’ won big after bagging the awards for Best Music, Best Production Design, Best Director, and Best Actress for Charlie Dizon.
Philippines’ entry to the 2024 Oscars, ‘Iti Mapukpukaw,’ added new feathers to its cap after winning Best Sound, Best Animation, and Best Picture of the year.
Romnick Sarmenta was also recognized as Best Actor for his portrayal in the 2023 Summer Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘About Us, But Not About Us’.
