The local government units (LGUs) in the following cities, municipalities, or provinces have canceled face-to-face classes due to the expected high heat index on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Learning facilities will continue to deliver their services through other methods, such as teleconferencing and/or asynchronous classes.

  • NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION
  • Caloocan City (no face-to-face classes from KINDERGARTERN TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL)
  • Malabon City (no face-to-face classes in PUBLIC SCHOOLS)
  • REGION I (ILOCOS REGION)
  • Binmaley, Pangasinan (no afternoon face-to-face classes from PRESCHOOL TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, public and private) until May 28, 2024
  • Umingan, Pangasinan (no afternoon face-to-face classes for PRESCHOOL TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, public) until May 31, 2024
  • REGION VI (WESTERN VISAYAS)
  • Iloilo City (no face-to-face classes for ALL LEVELS, public and private) until May 21, 2024
    • Schools with air-conditioned classrooms have the discretion whether to hold face-to-face classes.

Meanwhile, in separate proclamations, President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos declared Monday, May 20 as a special non-working day in Sual, Pangasinan and Gattaran, Cagayan.
