The Davao del Sur bet will be the country’s representative in the upcoming Miss Earth pageant.
On Saturday, May 11, the coronation night of Miss Earth Philippines 2024 featuring 29 contenders from across the archipelago happened in Takalag, Bukidnon.
In the said event, the organization named new queens, starting off with the new Miss Earth Philippines who is none other than Irha Mel Alfeche from Matanao, Davao del Sur.
She is only the second representative hailing from Mindanao to ever win in the Miss Earth PH pageant.
Alfeche succeeds Miss Earth Philippines 2023 and Miss Earth Air 2023 Yllana Marie Aduana.
A comebacking contestant from the 2022 national pageant, Irha Mel is set to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Earth 2024 pageant in Vietnam.
Aside from Alfeche, also given titles in the recent coronation night were:
- Miss Philippines Air: Feliz Recente (Zamboanga del Norte)
- Miss Philippines Water: Samantha Dana Bug-os (Oriental Mindoro)
- Miss Philippines Fire: Kia Labiano (Zamboanga Sibugay)
- Miss Philippines Eco Tourism: Ira Patricia Malaluan (Batangas City)
